Vice President

Hannah Mathieson

Growing up in San Diego, Hannah has always enjoyed spending time at Del Mar Racetrack with friends and family. As a former college volleyball player at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, it was not until she sustained a career-ending injury that she realized her true passion was Thoroughbred racing. Throughout college, she spent her summers interning for West Point Thoroughbreds and Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, where she had the opportunity to be involved in multiple aspects of the business including photography, marketing, client relations, and event planning. She was also involved in Cal Poly’s Thoroughbred enterprise, where the students breed, train, and sell horses while learning about bloodlines and daily care.

After college, she spent nearly two years in Australia working for Ciaron Maher Racing in roles including sales, marketing, communications and as the U.S. representative. Now back in the U.S., Hannah has launched and manages Oakmont Horse Club, an international Thoroughbred pinhooking and racing syndicate active in Australia and the U.S. She is thrilled to be a part of Nexus Racing Club, and hopes it will introduce more young people to the sport and increase accessibility to the Sport of Kings.
