Corot Wins Allowance at Fair Grounds

Riding Nexus Racing Club’s hot streak, Corot earned his first win for Nexus and partners at Fair Grounds Race Course on Saturday when he took an allowance by 2 ¼ lengths. This victory provided Nexus members with their third winning experience of the fall, off the tails of Cruel Intention’s two wins.
Sitting just off the pace throughout the five-and-a-half-furlong event, Corot made a strong move around the far turn to clench the lead. He maintained that lead at the top of the stretch, kicking clear to extend his advantage in the final furlong before winning by a comfortable margin.
This was Corot’s second career win. He broke his maiden at Woodbine by 6 ¼ lengths prior to being purchased by our partners, West Point Thoroughbreds and Rob Masiello, at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July Sale for $155,000.
