Team Nexus is thrilled to announce that we will be partnering with Sagamore Farm on a 2 year old colt by Uncle Mo out of the More Than Ready mare Hit Squad. He is the first colt on the Nexus roster.
During the 20th century Sagamore was once owned by Alfred G. Vanderbilt II, one of the most prominent racing figures. In 2007 Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank bought the historic farm with a long-term plan for a major restoration. Sagamore is rich in history and was the home of Hall of Fame horses Discovery, Bed O’ Roses and Native Dancer. On November 5, 2010, Shared Account won the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf (GI) defeating one of the best horses in the world, Midday. This win set the foundation for a new history currently being created by Sagamore Racing.
We are looking forward to the ride our new colt will take us on!
